Based in Logan, Utah I have been capturing landscapes and wildlife in and around the western United States for years. I delight in the open skies and vast differences in terrain all over the Rocky Mountains. My love of hiking with my husband (Scott) has led me to consider capturing unique experiences one can only view in the backcountry. Moose are my favorite wildlife subjects, and I’m often seen scouring the local canyons and lake areas for tracks to follow. I love to venture out early in the morning or late in the day to take advantage of the golden hour light. My favorite area to photograph is Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge in northern Utah where I learned to love and photograph birds. I am currently serving a three year term as a board member of the Utah Wildlife Federation.
Photography credits include the cover photo for Utah Stories, October 2023, and I am a contributing photographer for Save People Save Wildlife (Park City, Utah). I won first place win in the Scenic Utah Favorites Contest with my “The Boys Are Back” shot of buffalo on Antelope Island (2022). I have been a contributing photographer for BeLocal Magazine and in 2020 I was highlighted in the Utah State University Highlander Magazine for my coverage of the “Bear 100.” I have had several photography exhibitions in the state of Utah and have a photo in perpetuity hanging in the Cache Valley, Utah Events Center.
You may happen to find my photos decorating several businesses in northern Utah. Additionally, my photography is featured on multiple websites such as Cache County, Utah, Box Elder County, Utah, Utah Wildlife Federation, Central Wasatch Commission, and the Utah DWR/DNR. I also have photographs in the biologist training manual for the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources.
